Pssh, I think that you are forgetting that there is a difference from ninjas (the peasant fighters/assassins) and Ninjas (the fictional superhuman masters of combat who walk through walls and chop through boulders). 😀
If I were Poulette, I’d shoot WB in the legs and hope he’s bluffing about being able to kill me in a heartbeat. And maybe WB is bluffing; in #70 he did say that he was squeezing the last drops from his artificial adrenaline gland, and that he had five minutes before his muscles crushed him like a beer can. Has it been five minutes since then? Maybe…
also, where did all these Noobs come from? They could have read the whole story in its entirity for the last 3+ years. Heh. Amazing nobody is spoiling it for them in the comments.
This soldier has the less than unique misfortune to be working for the wrong people, at the wrong time, in the wrong place, and having made the wrong decision a few seconds prior.
Hi llkjsdlfkj (?) ! I hit this in the 200’s when Steve Notley point out a cameo of his character in this story. I went through it (and got the comic books) so now I’m enjoyin’ this like it’s the first time. It’s fun to watch first timers enjoy the story and the art!
Those are some interesting choices (cue the Jeopardy music). Chuck’s a good sport, eh?
Going through the captain’s head is “damn, now I can’t hold my piss in my bladder”.
Decisions decisions decisions…
that is so badass. any normal man would have shot poulette aorund the corner
The one option Brown doesn’t mention: the captain can simply pull the trigger.
When you notice how the windows are broken that last panel gets so much more badass.
@richard-
What Chuck is saying is that, having closed the distance, and being ninja fast, even pulling the trigger isn’t an option for our poor Poulette.
The little panels from the real Peanuts strip add a LOT to your posts. It just ups the surreality and the awesomeness. Keep up the good work!
You ever fired a gun, JY? There’s a reason you don’t see ninjas anymore…
That being said, GREAT showdown. It’s like the standoff at the end of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, except weirder.

I know exactly what’s going through his head.
“Fuck.”
Doh! You’re right, Joe. My bad.
Where’s Crokk during all this?! And who were the camera people!? The questions mount!!! I’m checking this site like three times a day for updates…

Failing that, I would just beg for a quick death.
I love this series. My only note is that “mistakes” should not have an apostrophe and it bugs me.
@Carl: Hey, if WB wants to put an apostrophe there, who would really want to correct him?
Most folks I know prefer their internal organs stay that way.
There is one more option.
The Captain can blow his own brains out.
“Mistake” corrected!
“Decision” is spelled wrong, too.
GODDAMM^%$#&*%(*&%!!!
@Jim – this is Weapon Brown we’re talking about. A normal man would get shot.
As for Chuck, won’t happen.

and in the last panel we see the proper form for the “oh lord i hope nobody can tell i’ve shit my pants” firing stance.

Inestimably badass. In fact, almost Klingon. Does he do childrens’ parties? My nephew’s birthday is coming up.
