Aw pops….
Not even a crack at Cal before going down.
Secondly: Everyone is cracking on Brown like this is all his fault. Take Note: 1) he didnt want to get involved. 2) They took him. 3) When he took on Cal he was unarmed, both figuratively and literally.
So no X: thank YOU for FUCK all, ya cynical bastard: If X had a single brain cell that thought with common sense rather then that stuck up attitude of his, he would have thought this through.
Of course thats just my opinion: I could be wrong.
X has been doing all the work in sheparding people off to safety and fighting all the goons off while all Brown has been doing is trying do kill only one guy (and failing at it)… Of course, I don’t think X knows what Brown was up against but you can’t blame the guy for being pissed on a day like this one, especially with the new, supposedly badass, guy for not holding up his part.
When is the headless walking zombie dude coming back?
@ Red: You’re not wrong, haven’t you been keeping up with society? It’s all the rage the blame the one trying to fix the problem rather than the ones who caused it in the first place. Or even better yet, blaming those who had nothing to do with it in the first place. Of course it gets confusing when the ones who caused shit cry that they are the victims. And even believe it too! Pretty soon the you’ll be seeing one of the syndies crying how Annie’s crew, by trying to live peaceably on their own resources were responsible for the whole war to begin with. Yeah I’m bitter! As one of America’s working poor, I just can’t see how I’m to blame for some rich bastards’ stupid idea to crash the economy by investing in make believe and rotten investment instruments that had no real value to begin with. Yeah, I listen to what the pundits are really saying.
Blame Shift: A new game from Pork Her Brothers. Fun for the whole family, until it self destructs!
If Pops is going out, he’s going out old school. How can you not love the guy? I’ll bet when Chuck finds out about it, he’ll have something approaching positive to say, even if it’s only in his mind.
I’m with Fluffy Slippers on the Huey X banter. It’s impossible to read another person’s mind and Chuck is certainly not an open book to begin with. His anger may be wholly misguided, but he’s got a whole set of issues in front of him and I doubt anyone else would have time to ponder someone else’s problems under the present circumstances.
And besides, Chuck ALWAYS gets blamed for ANYTHING that goes wrong, fair or (usually) not. It’s been that way since day one. But now he’s got shoulders and balls big enough to bear it.
Finally. The arm.
Shit’s about to get real.
Has anybody noted the Hellboy parallel yet?

Yay! Pops is alive! Bleeding profusely and filled with lead, but alive! Thank you, JY!
X may still be a bit ticked that Chuck got to bang Annie. (Actually, does he even know about that yet? He will not be happy when he does.)

You fuckin’ tell ’em, Slippers!
Captcha Chuck’s arm super alloy: Allodium Theemsi
Ohh yes! I’m at full mast right now!
Hope you’re ready for round two, Cal!

Its time to get armed.
He took a whole lot more than 4 slugs from a .44. How did Les Moore get into this?

aaaaand don’t forget that not only is X lookin fer Anne, so is Cal.
The alt text reminds me: wonder how much stuffing Hobs has lost by now?
@ Chyll Will–> Not just from day 1 of this story…goes back to Shultz’s original strips.
Looks like Weapon’s about to reunited with Brown. High time.
You know, Eric, in any other context that would be a very terrible innuendo
I think Pops is grief stricken more than anything else. He’s been with that goil for more than 80 years.
