As someone who experienced csa from a family member i resonate with clarissa very strongly. Is it fucked up to find comfort in something so akin to a traumatic experience? Who can say. Stay strong, Clarissa. You wont be able to forget when you grow up either
I stumbled upon this comic from a post where someone compared Floopsy to Toy Story toys. Naturally I binge-read all of it in one night. I think I am a mix of the three children in Clarissa’s household unfortunately. Good think I suppressed the memories, which famously never ever resurface later in life 😀
Jajaja, I love the part when Clarissa looks back at Roger and touches her face, embarrassed, like she’s thinking, “What did this idiot do now?”
I really loved this episode, especially because of Roger’s development, his genuine interest in Clarissa, and the way she interacts with him.
JY: Thanks! (I think I need some Roger coffee mugs in my store!)
Reminding me a little of LISA but hopefully thier lives get better in tne future. Amazing comics as always through the years.
JY: Lisa… Simpson? Oh no! Homer, what have you DONE??
well, he tried and that’s what counts
poor little clarissa… i hope they let her beat her dad over the head with a chair soon
