Brilliant riff on the 1930s-40s strip “Barney Baxter in the Air,” but what an obscure reference. If it weren’t for Google we’d never get these jokes.
When do we get to the mutant cannibal inbred Family Circus brood?
“The Family Circus Sense” is what first brought me to this website back in 2000 or 2001. I love FC parodies, and seeing those little bastards for the grotesque creatures they truly are would be awesome.
I’ve gotten all of the jokes/references (even if not immediately) except for Barney Baxter, so only one has been obscure to me.
Very funny indeed. I prefer the Wittgenstein Family Circus myself. “There are no philosophical problems! Only language problems! “Not Me” is clearly a spectre!!!”

What do you think of the Nietzscha Family Circus?

It’s a sign! That Baxter thing is cool!
These lookups are great, where you figure out all the references. It making the 2nd read of Weapon Brown enjoyable.
Something you guys have missed. Is the car Chuck is driving from a particular comic?
JY: It isn’t, but feel free to make that detail up!
