kudos to Cal for still holding on to Annie’s hair through the melee! I’m picturing 4 ‘people’ here in a very small area (the Phantom off panel there) awesome! I like the ‘KONG!’ of Cal’s fist hitting the most-likely titanium shielded arm; how durable is that thing? Cal’s paper airplane projectiles are still embedded in it!
No bet tradebait; at least one of Cal’s must have shrunk. And kudos to geek! I didn’t even notice, but yeah, those planes are still there! (Almost expected Cal’s eyes to “streak” as he swung around in panel 2.)
Also, a side note, I see they’re still making Peanuts specials post-2010. Back in the 70s, they hired actual 10-12 year-old kids to voice the characters (which brings a half-authentic half-stilted charm). Are they still doing that nowadays though? Because after seeing that panel on Peppermint, I can’t imagine they’re still hiring a boy to read those lines.
I see two possibilities : Cal pulls Annie in to block the uppercut , call pulls the punch, and Jy sends this fight into overtime…..
Or Cal drops Annie, Grabs the hand breaking it , and JY sends this fight into over time.

I could see Cal using Annie to block Chuck’s uppercut, which would shatter Chuck’s last vestiges of sanity. The big question is, would it leave him an emotional wreck, or further spur him on to even more rage?
At that range, Chuck will *keep* whatever Cal is still holding onto Annie with. If he blocks with Annie’s noggin, he grabs the wrist and snaps like a twig. The series ends with Cal’s hand on a chain around Chuck’s neck, flipping the bird post-mortem.
Friday’s page is incredibly good. So satisfying. The tension has built, the next phase begins. I think everyone’s Garf theory will prove to be correct.
