I’m starting to realize that I’m not sure that Mr. Yungbluth intends for Chuck to survive this mess. If all of this is a metaphor for comic strips, it’s perfectly possible Chuck falls to CAL, or that the entire world this story takes place in ends horribly. With the fight and the story going the way it is, I expect to be frightened, offended and certainly surprised. But not disappointed, that’s for sure. Do your worst Jason. And in this do your best.
If any of you can actually give me an answer to this Captcha, I’ll give you a B.J.: ernaiks synonym
What unnerves me is that Chuck’s not taking shots at CAL. I mean, right here…Old Sparky is clearly unencumbered, both of CAL’s hands are busy in a combination choke and lift, so why isn’t Chuck going upside CAL’s head with a full-on Sparky shot? Obviously you can’t think of everything, especially while you’re being actively choked, but considering what Chuck’s done so far? He’s missing an awful lot of tricks and absorbing a lot of blows. IS he holding back? Even CAL remarked on that just yesterday. If Chuck’s got a master plan he’d better be showing it soon…CAL’s doing a number on him.
would chuck die? It’s not impossible but I really don’t see it happenin,g unless snoop dies, if snoop dies I think chuck would be dead as well, CAL can’t make it alive, not without hobbess.
What I really wonder it’s if JY would give some continuity to this time line history with the next JY’s project THE GARBAGE MEN, that would be nice.
I really hope that CAL doesn’t die, I think it’d be better for him and Chuck to be eternal mortal enemies. Mainly because I can’t think of a more badass…well, badass, for Chuck to fight.
@That1Guy, Krazy Kat is dead, tho’. His skeleton was in the background of one of the Weapon Brown strips. The syndicate still needs dealing with, though, so hopefully this grand finale still has a way to go.
As for anyone else who could be as badass as Cal? I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t already been shown/offed.
I haven’t the foggiest idea what Chuck’s plan is, but I’m thinking it’s wearing out CAL. We know Chuck can absorb a hell of a lot of damage, and in my ‘magination when CAL is worn out from beating the snot out of Chuck, that’s when Chuck is going to start slapping him. Not beating him, just slapping the holy bejesus out of him to humiliate him.
Man, how many times will Annie be pulled into the fire?
I’m going to stop hoping for a happy ending and start praying for one.
The Jeep! Awesome! I hope Anne will be alright! I’m also hoping she had a plan for running to the animal wing.
Still loving seeing funny animals, BTW!
Riotfish

I just wasted 10 minutes trying to figure out the ‘Abbe’ tag.
Then I noticed the keyboard positions of b and n.
yeesh
Whatever her name is, she’s well drawn here.
…Chuck luck…
Don – You’re just now figuring that out? There’s no safe bet on who survives this. And in this world there are no winners, just survivors.
Here’s to the Jeep waking up and taking CAL on a magical mystery tour from which he never comes back! (Avenging Pops and Olive in the process…)
God damnit Annie! Get the fuck out of here already!
JY: Anne may have a little of Lambert’s DNA, if you know what I mean.

Missing something here with the b and n reference for Abbe talked about by Sven DiMilo. If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.
Never mind, figured it out Duh.

Jeep! FTW, ability to telport short distances, walk through walls…
Cause otherwise, that whole death of comics comment? Starting to make too much sense.
HMMMMM JY, I came across this one recently, now makes sense

Oh man.
Am I the only one seeing how messed up Chuck’s chin is? It looks like a flap of skin flying free from the bone!
Tell me I’m not seeing that.

Actually I take that back, Krazy Kat would be a kickass sub for Hobbes (rest his soul), if Hobbes can’t come back.

I’m tired and my eyes hurt but this strip always makes me excited. Just Saying.
Oh man, that was just wrong.
Illegal Blockhead in the back. 10 yard penalty. Repeat the down.
(She was an eligible receiver, though.)
She’s already proved that.
Way to escape, Annie! Granted, the ruckus in the background probably disrupts her “sonar” somewhat.
