From the poster you did I can see The Widow Bumsted there in the car. I can make out the BC guy as well getting his arm eaten off by Snoop. That’s as much as I’ve gotten. Great page too.
In the first panel the guy with the big beard is Earthquake McGoon?
Otherwise this is the scariest imagery I’ve seen anywhere since…well, four or five pages ago.
Relevant to nothing, here’s something else in the disturbing cartoon canon: http://www.theonion.com/content/news/burned_lower_half_of_morts_face
No to the widow Bumstead, yes to the Happy Hooligan, Earthquake McGoon and the Imp. Good eyes, people. There are still a couple obscure ones to be named.
Hairless Joe (Lil’ Abner) in the top panel to the left of Earthquake McGoon.
The Fat Broad (B.C.) in the top panel at the top right corner.
Given the general “primitive / caveman” nature of this set of bad guys, I’m wondering when Alley Oop is going to turn up, if he hasn’t already. . .
I think the Captain Caveman looking character from the last panel is “Ug!” from the strip of the same name. The obscure references are great. Keep up the great work.
Is that the Imp on the extreme lefthand side of panel one (and holding Weapon Brown in panel two)? And Happy Hooligan in the last panel?

“Weenie World” is a reference to Brad DeGroot’s former place of employment, is it not?
Is that Captain Caveman in the last panel? It reminds of that or something from Jim Henson that I can’t properly remember.

The “Jim Henson “character is quite obscure, but here’s a hint”: he ain’t Ziggy.

Wow! Good eye, Jay. Did you Google for this, or do you remember the strip?
I remembered it as a Tom Wilson character, but I had to Google Tom Wilson’s bio to get the character’s name.
Wow, I can’t even find a picture on the Internet of Ug.
It wasn’t what I had in mind when I seen your sign JY, but there is a correlation 😀

Haw haw! “Good grief” sums it up nicely!
