Wow, on the ball tonight with a nice early update! The Horrible vs. The Menace to the death? Sweet.

Happy Louis Riel Day to one and all!

D’oh. I guessed wrong. Ah well. Great panel, and I love the new tag system!

Captcha: something I haven’t done since I came out of the closet: rotates Mrs.

Why do I get the feeling we’re talking about more than Weapon Brown’s world here?

Hoping for two things now: First, that Hagar wins the day, and second, that eventually Chuck and company bust him out and gain some crazy viking ally action.

What the viking will need by the end of this tilt captcha: saxons doc

Hmmm, just noticed something about King Fink there, his crown looks more like metal plates screwed fast to hold the top of his head on.

ah, no! Dennis and Hagar deserve a bit more than bit parts!

    Please!

Never noticed before how much “Hagar the Horrible” and “Dennis the Menace” really DO sound like wrestler names! Genius!

…and as MarvODaMighty pointed out the chairman does look a little like Chuck, all be it a littel more crazed. Perhapes there is a story there somewhere.

Awesome! Your artwork is truly stunning. I was bummed this morning here at work and this actually made me smile. I think that the universe is aligning and my Captcha agrees: Cosmos input

Now that I’m more awake, I’ve noticed the figures of Dennis and Hagar more clearly. The poses, the arms and legs, and the faces… is this a deliberate shout to Jack Kirby, or am I imagining things?

    Sentroller:

It stands to reason that Horns probably used the same genetic “fitness regimen” as Chuck, since he was always quite portly before, and now appears absolutely jacked.

Wouldn’t shock me if he’s cyborg under the suit, but both his arms appear normal.

    Naughty captcha: tainted on

What is the deal on those silhouettes in the background? They remind me of the prison fight scene in the 1995 Denzel Washington movie “Virtuosity,” but that’s a pretty obscure reference, and not even a comic one.
Dennis is a candidate for Most Nightmarish Rendition so far in this series.

I was thinking Eadweart Muybridge motion-study photography at first, but it also looks like the inside of a zoetrope animation cylinder.

My money is on Denis.. he’s always been a troublemaker. It seems the harsh post apocalyptic world has hardened young Denis into a killing machine for survival –his parents are probably murdered he has nothing but his angry to less out from. It’s time Denis took a massive stand — he may be the catalyst That Chuck needs. The only end is and end in charged by well trained minds like a laser focusing powers. These new warriors lead by Chuck could remake the world. I’d love to see Chuck become the King of a savage land of barbarians and berserkers! A new would order… hey it could happen. Think about it!

Jess – Hagar and Dennis will fight and be the backdrop for the the dialogue between the two as they talk. Will make an awesome visual

I’d hate to see what’s become of Mr. Wilson. Or Helga.

Maybe Horns could do business with Larsen E. Pettifogger; the two of them are probably kindred evil spirits.

    — Captcha is a hungry puddy tat: possible canary.

I was hoping Hagar would be more black metal, maybe run his own roving crew of marauders through the wasteland.

@Zujin: Dennis doesn’t deserve the same level of awesome that Calvin and Brown are getting. Does anyone actually enjoy the Dennis the Menace strips? I always put them only slightly above Family Circus’s schtick. By contrast Peanuts, and by leaps and bounds Calvin and Hobbes were much more enjoyable.

The King does have a removable skull section, as he referred to when he stated that the Wizard had "opened his mind…" . Chairman Horns just keeps getting scarier!

JY: That is my favorite drawing of Horns.

Dang. I was hoping that Chuck would have to fight both Dennises the Menace (US and UK) at once.
