YES!!!!! we get a) the Dag, er, Dogwood running into the mailman(shitman), and the inane conversation thereof, and finally, DUKE v. SNOOP n I guess the shit just hhit the wall, both literally (ew) and especially for Duke, as I can see Snoop didn’t play nice……
You know I never pictured the post-apocalyptic world of Weapon Brown to be a particularly “good smelling” place, but with that last panel it just got a lot worse very quickly.
Three weeks of warm shit sprayed across such a confined space? Ye Gods man….
I like how the last panel is made to look like the classic “Dagwood/mailman collision” scene; the position and action of Duke’s legs, the point of view, the sound effect, etc. The little differences, like Snoop and the turd bag, almost don’t matter.
You know, now that I’m over the initial hysteria of what’s been going on, I’ve found myself hoping Mr. Beasley survives this story. Out of all the characters in this story, he’s by far the nicest and least dysfunctional. (Dysfunctional is good, of course, but a little contrast is always nice) Yes, he poops in a sack and carries it around with him at all times (!), but what have YOU done to end world hunger lately?
Of course, given my luck, he’ll likely have his head kicked off Monday.
The artwork looks like you used a slightly different style for this installment. Different pen, perhaps? The effect is a bit softer. Certainly nothing ambiguous or soft about the setup or delivery of the punchline in this one, though!
Headcheese, now that you mention it, the artwork is a little softer.
From an art standpoint, it is still amazing and looks great. Somehow it does not look nearly as badass though, so I would be curious how Chuck would look like with this softer artwork. CAn’t wait for Monday! Go Chuck, go Snoop!!!
So much to say about this, but when you get right down to it, it’s still true: it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.
And the amount of fight in Snoop would make God-fucking-ZILLA suddenly remember an important appointment he needs to make on the other side of the planet…and RUN there.
YEAH SNOOP!!
ew
YEAH POOP!!
…I mean… Snoop!
That last panel is exquisite. Exquisitely what, I’m not sure.
Shit, this strip entry should be renamed Weapon Snoop, that dog is meaner and nastier then chucky!

“My dog. Not for sale.” Damn right!
Captcha secret formula: whey N-KB3
I just realized this will all be colored when it’s published, and that last panel is gonna make me need some Peptol Bismol OMG

Heh. Too true Jor, too true.
Really like how you kept Marmaduke’s signature leg blur.
(battling 19)
I don’t have Shit to say about this one. Well done.

HAH!
Snoop made Marmaduke his BITCH!!
Three-week old fecal matter all over the place. What could possibly be a good reason to collect his waste so infrequently?

I have been experimenting a bit lately. The page above is a melange of Wally Wood, R. Crumb and my own secret herbs and spices.

Eww stinkypants! Eat shit and die!
You hate toilet humor? I never would have thought, having read “Rogue Neighbor to the North” and watched “See Bill Rant”. Quite the contrary.
Either you’re not being serious, or you have a very narrow definition of the term…
Haw haw! I’m a walking fart joke; i love toilet humour!
