Clarissa Saves Halloween-Part 2
I meant for this to be the second and LAST part of the story, but what can I say? This one is challenging me!
So, there is yet one (please let it only be one) part left to this story, and believe you me, I am as curious as you are as to how this will end!
Stay tuned! If my head gets screwed on right it will post next week!
Jason, I don’t want to jinx it, but this is note-perfect beautiful. And the way Clarissa is just looking on, because somehow I can feel her watching all this, trying to understand it, how she’s observing the same thing we are, the way you’ve done this is serenely lovely. That’s something I never thought I’d say about your work, but there it is: serenely lovely. Sigh. Looking forward to and slightly dreading what you’ll do to Clarissa and us in the last part. sigh.
Aw. But… do I hear Smashing Pumpkins playing in the background ?
Stupid woman invested in the wrong thing and takes it out on innocent kids. Thanks Karen.
So, I’m thrilled that WB is back and all, but wasn’t there still supposed to be a third part to this?
JY: YES! I mentioned this here: https://www.whatisdeepfried.com/comic/weapon-brown-aftershock-3/
I had a touch of writer’s block, but I’m back on the horse! No wait— I meant, I’m back in the saddle! (I actually AM back on the horse, which is how I fell off the wagon 🙁 )
The final chapter should drop next week. Thanks for your patience!
I think Sean might have been getting abused until Clarissa was born, but he still was willing to do what his dad wanted in order to get rewarded (he is a high achieving child). now it seems like no matter what he does, Clarissa always gets everything best and she doesn’t appreciate it at all (like he used to). Randy is more a mediator, I think their father didn’t go after him for some reason but he knows and he is very afraid of his dad and is just trying to prevent fighting. Sean being super upset because he doesn’t WANT to be abused but he misses the attention he used to get. Randy trying to fix everything even though he’s just a kid. Clarissa just being an onlooker, her perceptions warped by her father.
