Ah, the Hupmobile. Yanno, somebody actually built one of those… back in the Eighties, I think.

Is that Strong Bad mounted on the grill of the bus with the mini-gun?

@KarlMonster
I believe you’re talking about the Foo Mobile. Pete Schlatter is the one who built it.

This is the best friggin’ web comic I’ve ever read, and I hate you JY for keeping us in suspense!

It’s the DeSoto from PIRANHA CLUB! EXCELLENT.

JY, Wasn’t it El Cometa Haley from Gordo, not La Cometa Haley?
I’d try to come up with a funny Captcha but with 257, reallp…. Doesn’t come easy.

Completely mental. LOVE IT. If The Wacky Racers show up in the next few panels, I’ll just die from the awesome.
A native of Zimbabwe sees a cloud of dust on the horizon and asks the friend standing next to him, “Who is that?” Captcha takes out his binocs, raises them to his eyes, and says “easily otenge”
July 20th, 2011 at 9:41 pm
Nick-
I have it on good authority it is “La”. AndSerge– the Wacky Racers are from TV! I am spoofing newspaper strips! Does anyone get my premise yet??!?? Rah! RAHHRGGHH!! (Hulks out, destroy’s the Southwest).
July 20th, 2011 at 11:32 pm
My bad.. It started out as la, but then turned to El Cometa… (p65 of Accidental Ambassador Gordo: a comic strip of Gus Arriola splains it) I remember the strips with him on the El Cometa Haley (Spelling was incorrect always) Rarely do I doubt the greatness that is JY, but from time to time the memories go haywire. Mea Culpa oh great one!
See… Even the Captcha shuold have known innersi thoughts tend to be flawed…

Is somebody doing an annotated version of this? Like those League of Extraordinary Gentlemen annotations? Because I am depressed and frustrated by the amount of in-jokes in this. I really thought I knew newspaper strips but I clearly don’t. I’m so ashamed.
July 20th, 2011 at 11:39 pm
Sorry, frustrated and depressed by the amount of in-jokes I DON’T GET in this
July 21st, 2011 at 11:02 am
@Laundry Machine just enjoy the marvels (can I use that here) of JY art and story telling, the in-jokes are sometimes very hard to get so just enjoy. I really do not think JY wants you to get depressed over the in jokes (despite his sick sick mind).
Jy: Welcome back and looking forward to all future sickness that your mind spews.
Thus altimuni, is the captcha today.
