Pops is doing his job. He’s Annie’s last line of defense. And while I know he’s ready for a scrap, it’s bad if he has to. Like to the royalty of old, you picked out your best and most loyal to protect.
Captcha, I have taken Latin, French and have know bits of Italian, German and Russian. I have no idea what language you working with now. Even Google doesn’t know. Is this the language of our coming Martian Overlord?
Dammit! Now I have to wait till Monday to see what happens!
@Baughbe: Pops is the one who says: “Get her out of here, I’ll catch up!” and then holds the hallway/doorway/passageway until they’re forced to step over rubble, his body, and the bodies of those who will serve him in the afterlife.

@Jor – Well, at least they opened fire instead of ordering them to drop their weapons. I figure the rest of the Syndies will not make it out of that room. Only CAL and HOBS will be left.
@JY: It just occurred to me that you missed an opportunity where Ted Forth is concerned. When “Sally Forth” first came out, all the characters had oversized heads and no necks; the artwork changed when another artist took over. This kind of mutation would have been perfect for the WB world. Of course, we haven’t seen Sally yet — maybe she’s the “head” of the family.

Remember when I suggested that going to a Monday/Friday update schedule would spread things out for us and make it a bit easier for you to keep up? I was still thinking that there actually WAS an update schedule. Post when it’s ready, and we’ll read it as soon as our f5 keys get replaced.

Ted Forth! The cameo I didn’t realize this comic needed, but now cannot imagine “Weapon Brown” without.
Since he and his wife were always so snarky, perhaps here we’ll see a tender “End of WWII” kiss between them (assuming Ted survives)?

@ Sherlock – There is a slight resemblance to Pig-Pen, but not enough of a dirt cloud surrounding him to make a positive id, maybe JY could confirm.
