Oh boy! The syndicate would be shitting bricks if they knew that Cal took the negociations in charge. I don’t think they would trust him to do anything sane and/or sensible. I suppose this is Cal’s cue to throw a wrench into everybody’s projects. He’s probably going to tear Anne appart after outpunching Pop.

Everybody is going to die and everything is going to turn to shit.

  2. llkjdslfkj

    badass

  3. Red

Dammit! Things get worse before they can get any better. The world is dead and the syndicate is STILL only concerned with making money and power. Idiots.
As for Cal.V1n: he seems to be getting more deranged as this arc goes on. When he first came in he seemed to have a method to his madness. Now, he’s going so crazy, even his face is starting to distort with madness. If Brown can’t stop CAL, nothing will.

  4. Red

On a side note: I seem to remember Calvin having several weaknesses
    1. Moe (dead at this point, so isnt helping)
    2. His bike.
    3. Hobbes (they did fight a lot)
    4. Susie
all of these usually left him in a mangled heap with him saying something to the audiance before the comic ended.

  5. ThePikey

    I’m betting on a climax featuring a
    5) wagon/toboggan ride…

  6. Jonny The Eyepatch

Damn CAL, makin fun of the blind? That’s just MEAN.

  7. theo

    @Jonny

Dude, we saw him feed his tiger with babies and THAT is what you call mean?

Seriously everybody’s screwed, Cal is in charge and he doesn’y give a crap about the future. I bet his legionnaires pals turn on him once they figure out that he’s going to screw the mission.

The syndicate, the rebels, Anne, Pope, EVERYBODY is screwed!

  8. Luke

There’s only two “bitches” I can think he’s referring to, and sooner or later one of them is gonna show up to knock some sense into him.

  9. Sherlock_Watson

I’m wondering if Anne was trying to give Chuck a message when she told him to “hit the showers”; maybe she still has a plan in mind.

    – Captcha is planning to `udedit Taylor.` He’ll never see it coming.

  10. C. Mage

@Sherlock_Watson – “Hitting the showers” is a baseball term, meaning that the game is over…or she wants Cal and the others to THINK it’s over.

  11. Anna

Yeah, I think that “hit the showers” is code for “go get your fucking power arm”. ^__^
I less than three you Jason!! =^.^=

  12. JY

“less than three you”? Damn this chat speak! I can’t understand what anyone is saying! Plus, all those hieroglyphics you used… i think you are saying “Weapon Brown shall receive five talents of wheat from the land lord”.

    Captcha just just Quoted Roillea

  13. Brandi

Odd double-word moment in Cal’s speech balloon: “Reminds me of a bitch I used used to know.” (Also, wonder if that’s a reference to Suzie?)

  14. Ginger Mayerson

Hmmmm, doesn’t Hobbes have a weakness for babes? And Anne is certainly a babe. And where the hell are Huey and Riley? I hope they’ve undone whatever Gramps did to Chuck’s arm. They’re going to need it (and Snoop!).

I love this comic. It’s so much better than Mary Worth or anything, really. I’m going to keep hoping for a happy ending, but, oh well, this is still Weapon Brown.

  15. Chyll Will

(Psst JY: “Less than three = HEART <3) I look at things too literal at times, so sarcasm can wash over me in an instant (don't know how to feel about that, either)

I don't really have anything to say except I am on the edge of my seat wondering what'll happen next. Think Cal will catch on that Anne and Chuck already tangoed? Could be somebody's weakness…

  16. Destruya

We know he harms at least one more person – Chuck’s gimp arm isn’t busted yet and he doesn’t look scared.

My guess? Cal can survive on anything, and doesn’t give a damn about anyone else. Besides, he’s got his imagination and Hobbes to keep him company in a world devoid of all life.

  17. Noel Schornhorst

    @Red

You forgot Rosalyn. She could handle Calvin pretty well. Even on the few occasions where he ‘won’ she always got the upper hand.

  18. Jody

Woot. Looks like Pops is gonna be Round Two.

Hope he survives, but if not I hope he at least doesn’t go out like a bitch.

  19. Jonny The Eyepatch

    @theo

Its a joke, mate. xD I mean, killing children? Feh (we are talking at least 4/5 of the Family Circus here). Mocking the blind? That just COLD.

Nah, Chuck’s just supposed to -literally- punch the showers.

  20. punx

Actually, and I can’t pull up the reference, Dr. Van Pelt got her mitts on Cal too….that could be whom he refers to?

Captcha says “You’re rshiss!”…..whatever that means LOL

  21. mdblanche

I love CAL’s last line. It sounds just like what Calvin would say if he had ever been in the same situation.

Captcha has been somewhat agitated of late, pacing back and forth while grumbling; shipsi.

  22. C. Mage

@Brandi – I think that was a reference to Van Pelt.

  23. Bad_Professor

Am I the only one to realize the brilliant MAD reference? One of the bastions of humour filled comics/graphics for the past 60 years? Of course, it doesn’t hurt that JY is a current contributor – but still, everyone makes all of these obscure connections, and not one person mentions MAD? I’m ashamed of you people, ashamed!

Captcha is up for a game of frendly gescour

  24. Alphanev

@Brandi I think Cal was referring to Lucy VanPelt. She referred to Chuck as a blockhead and was part of Cal’s training.

Personally I anticipate that Hobbes will be sidelined by some Schmoo that’s been transmuted to a tuna fish sandwich.

Captcha is listening to some classical eipleve

  25. Jimwolf

It takes a brave man to admit he can’t get it up today.

    O.K. @Bad_Professor, I admit I don’t see it. What’s the MAD reference?

Captcha tells us who should be reading Weapon Brown. Patronage eiviri.

  26. C.B.

    MAD – Mutually Assured Destruction.
It’s a political policy by the ex-Soviet Union and the United States in case of war. Should one side feel they were being beaten, they had the policy to release their entire nuclear payload on the world.

  27. Jor

Yeah. They call it MAD because we can see a country stocking up on nukes and say “What, me worry?”

  28. Bad_Professor

I guess I’m showing my age, but back in the ’70s MAD magazine did a ‘parody’ interview with the Government mind who developed the ‘Mutually Assured Destruction’ mindset. Though the topic was serious, still one of the most astute pieces of satire I have ever read. Hadn’t thought about it in years, but the two are continually linked in my mind. Can’t help but think that JY wanted to throw a bone to his employer as well…

  29. Mudfoot

In a straight up punching contest no one beats popeye. So of course, the weaselly little bastard will cheat. The question is, will he cheat big enough?
