@Gus: no, I think it is going to be a battle. Probably the first time Chuck has met his match, an equal so to speak.
JY has amazing characterization, in addition to his awesome artwork. I predict it will be Chuck’s intelligence that wins over Calvin. One thing that makes Chuck the ultimate badass is he is also smart and has emotion in addition to being so MF tough. I suspect Calv1n is stronger and faster than Chuck, but Chuck will out-think him when he gets cocky.
Seriously, I know that they’re going to get a number of the Legion, and perhaps CAL himself, eaten by the carnivorous kudzu (otherwise JY wouldn’t have mentioned it), but how the hell they are going to make it last that long is beyond me. You’ve got someone fast enough to dodge machine gun fire backed up by a 1200-pound thought-controlled robot. You’ve written yourself into a corner with this one, Jason. I hope the denouement is believable.
