The foreshadowing…it’s so foreboding…

Cal V.1-N pissing on a ford, huh? I see what you did there.
December 7th, 2010 at 6:15 am
Very nice.

wait, you’ve used the ‘pissing on a car’ joke twice now w/ Calvin, weak.
we don’t really know the true nature of Hobbes either, do we? is he really ‘alive’ and killed all those people in the diner, did Cal do it himself, or did he just imagine it?
December 7th, 2010 at 9:45 am
As the owner of a Ford, I have to agree.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:28 am
Ahem. CAL-v.1N was pissing in a porta-john that first time. The joke was only half complete!
Love,
Beriank

So badass. Best comic ever. Hands down. Love all the sunday references.
@geek: you will never know, just like Watterson intended, but Hobbes did kill all those people.

The chins in that second to last panel – there’s something not quite right about the chin on CAL…

H.O.B.S is scaring the shit out of me! Cal is having bladder problems.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:12 pm
Mass homicide, Genetic predisposition to violence, urinating on a junked Ford, Affinity to Cocoa Bombs…
Yep, I’m in love. Well done.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Hmm, so H.O.B.S is being left outside as some kind of little surprise? To catch Anne’s escaping followers, or as a surprise for the Syndicate?
sentroller – Yes, perhaps he has a bladder infection, or maybe a kidney stone. It is this constant pain that drives him to kill. A well place punch from WB will break the stone and CAL will be as gentle as a kitten.

Oh we all love surprises… at least the surprises that HOBS springs.

this is seriously the best comic i’ve seen since i read “watchmen” a while back. i grew up reading the sunday comics and it’s just awesome to see all those characters doing every last thing their creators wouldn’t let them but we all secretly wished they’d do.

As expected, shift back to Cal & the Scoobies, and yet the frustration of knowing it will be 6 miserable days until the next update

What I want to know is: Will we see any psychotic snowmen? Maybe CALv1N will be able to make the shmoo do weird and horrible things — hee hee!
Now we see that Captain PrepĂ© is indeed alive and well, but we all know he won’t stay that way for long.
– Captcha just loves it when he larests June.

Jason, I gotta admit I’m a little letdown by C.A.L’s dialogue thus far. Being based off a guy who once used the phrase, “A pair o’ pathetic paripatetics,” it doesn’t make sense that his grown-up version is is so simple. Charlie Brown was always more basic, so having his weaponized version be gruff and murderous makes sense. But C.A.L. needs to be more fancy and sadistic in both his words and actions to suit the elaborate schemes of his inspiration. Also, we missed a chance for him to say he was Stupendous, or the like…

I have to agree with Jim here. Little Cal was always very grand and imaginative with his plots and schemes. Weaponized he seems a little too simple.
And Captcha’s being elitist: Fespasid only

We have yet to see CAL in his glory. Patience, my pets.

Loving every bit of it so far. Props to JY for taking the time to build tension.
