I like to think there’s a sex scene ahead, but more likely they’ll just be getting to first base when the shit hits the fan. Y’know, the way Chuck’s luck goes.
So Annie shows immediate explicit interest in Chuck despite the facts that he has sold Buxley to the syndicate and then iced the innocent Jeff and Mutt over his damn dog. What a girl.
I was expecting some kind of tragic impossible unexpressed/latent love between a goody-two-shoes leader of the resistance and an irrideemable merc (wich would have mirrored the inobtanable redheaded girl), but it seems that YungBluth goes for the less complex Hollywood kind of approach for relationship. Oh okay, its a satire after all; I shouldn’t take i seriously I guess, but that kind of shallow, sexually driven, love subplot falls flat for me.
I doubt she’s going to be jumping his bones just yet. And if she does, she’ll have an ulterior motive to do so. After all, she needs SOME way to keep him in line.
If this is indeed the last chapter, I hope we get to see a veritable who’s who of comic stars. I’m still counting on the star of “Sam’s Strip” to appear as a godlike being who ends the war with a wave of his hand (after a good amount of carnage, of course).

Seriously people, you’re drooling &/or fuming over a possible sex scene when all she wants to do is show Chuck the sights. Nevermind she’s blind and he doesn’t care about anything. Plus the most action he’s gotten in the last little while is when undead Ally Oop tried to swallow his noggin. Maybe she’s just trying to let Snoop and Sandy together, ever think about that? what bling militia members don’t want a passel of puppies to love and cuddle and teach how to eat intruders faces?

Captcha merely lit a strike anywhere match on the punk’s acne scarred face and bellowed “Take him to the LODROLLY TUNNELS!!!!!!!”
Just putting it out there, but did anyone else see the irony of suggesting a possible hook-up on Hump Day? I think if anything were to happen, it won’t be for another week, real time.
All I feel when I see those last two panels is a horrible feeling of “this will not end well.” Hobbes in the diner? Pfff. Nothing. THIS is what will open a can of venomous death-worms.
Not sure if any one else mentioned this but recall that Anne is a red head and Chuck has been longing for his Red Headed Girl; Anne would do in a pinch or two.
@Jody: I personally happen to like the exchange through the last two panels, with the infancy line the perfect punchline (no pun intended)….but now the WBDTs start to tingle at the edges of my consciousness…..no wait that’s the mescaline doing its job, never mind
@theo I don’t think their relationship will be very deep because he has already hinted at their being a woman “worth it” chapters ago. I think the red head is going to be introduced in a flashback after he runs into her again (or she could be dead, who knows).

“Left hooks are like handshakes to him”. That’s one of the reasons I read you, Jason. You have some of the most quotable dialogue I’ve ever read.
And FINALLY we see a little intimacy between Chuck and this new Little Red Haired Girl. Why do I get the feeling it’s going to end tragically?
