When this scene goes bad — and we all know it will — I don’t think even “kid power” will be enough to protect those kids. (An invisible doughnut to anyone who gets that.)
And now for a Captcha haiku: I am just confused; / would somebody tell me, please, / what “[that] renalts” means?
I definitely like Cal as thinner and taller and clean-shaven. It’s a great contrast from Chuck’s Super Bruce Willis look. They’re both really menacing but completely distinct.
Rose is Rose always freaked me out kinda. The lady is supposed to be wearing these half-moon glasses, but due to the art style it looks like she has these rectangular cysts growing out of her face. I’m glad Jason gave her contacts instead.
By the way… YEAH!!! WEAPON BROWN RETURNS!!! It was a cruel summer without it, let me say.
Run Ziggy run. Believe me, a two page cameo without incident is the BEST thing that can happen to you in this strip. As the poor patrons of this diner are soon to discover, no doubt.
I’ve already read these ones from the paper version bonus a few months ago, but can’t wait until the awesome iconic potty reference and the comics that come after it. Loving’ it. Best comic out there.
@ Rande11: Probably painted on his shotgun, considering it’s Weapon Brown. That’s the best case scenario. Worst case, it’s the same species as the Great Pumpkin.

@lljslkfjldsf: We’ve already been hinted this is the last run, and the summer off was meant to get ahead of the updates so he’s not scanning to post while letting the ink dry at the same time….so I am more than happy to suffer through two-a-weeks as long as it is consistent Monday/Wednesday….and I’m sure that as it keys up to the final showdown we’ve been anticipating, we might just get a Friday or two as Constant Blockheads (to borrow the King fan term)
@KiZeR: I think it may be specific kind of eye contact, of course it may be a week or more before we find out for sure, I doubt this will all go down in the next update or two…..:)
I love how Calv.1n is so calm and cool to everyone at this point. Just shootin’ the shit and not raising hell. Either he’ll remain like that until he goes into berserk mode, or by the end of the next strip, everyone in this diner will be dead. Can’t wait.
I love that Rosie has a rose tattoo on her leg. JY squeezes in so much detail into each strip, and is subtle about it. You have to really know your Sundays to get the comic references… The strips are great on their own, but there is so much extra packed in
