For years I wondered where Daddy Warbucks came from, but was never actually curious enough about it to look it up. So thank you, peepants, for indirectly motivating me to ask Wikipedia.
DID YOU KNOW: the guy who made Annie hated the new deal so much that he killed off Daddy Warbucks (who resembled Roosevelt) in protest? you probably did.

Bet I can figure out what her special ability is, besides sensing lies: Whenever someone looks into her big white eyes, they just can’t withhold information or even be mean to her. Chuck will soon be putty in her hands, and afterwards he’ll be saying, “What the fuck just happened!?”

I assure you all, the fact that Annie is a hot redhead did not factor into my decision to introduce her as a potential love interest.
BTW, it is interesting how many speculations about other characters neatly allign with my own intentions. Which characters? whistle whistle….

Thank god I’m not the only one who noticed that John. It looks like we might be seeing a rare glimpse of the man behind the curtain with a strip where Yungbluth didn’t have time to fully ink the characters and backdrops.
Or it could be the start of a fade to white as the start of a wiggy psychic trip. I guess we’ll learn in the next couple of strips whether to throw popcorn at our intrepid artist or applaud him for being artsy

But I bet I’m the only one who noticed that Huey’s walk and subsequent exchange with Annie on the way out is exactly like him in Boondocks. The more things change… Hey, Pops hasn’t tooted his pipe yet!
@peepants: Annie’s a survivor; she’s more than held her own with or without Daddy Warbucks, so don’t sell her short. She’s right in her element. Warbucks may be the one holding the strings, but Annie knows how to pull them too.

Damn little orphan Annie is seksi! And you are totally right authorman when you say that her eyes are PHAT KEWL. I just read through the whole damn Weapon Brown series, great job! I haven’t enjoyed a webcomic series so much since… oh wait, I’ve never enjoyed a webcomic series this much. Keep up the good work, I can’t wait to find out what happens next :0
