Weapon Brown 92
Alright alright. I said the strip would be up Wednesday, and it is now practically Friday. You should know by now I am a fucking liar.
Well, not quite. It is always my intention to post these strips when I promise. So I’m really more of a bullshitter. But the real truth is I have been teaching from 9 to 5 all this week, and it prevented me from finishing the strip I started last week. Honest injun! I’d much rather be getting these strips out! I hate making money!
Some of you may be wondering what the hell is really going on at the Death Ray Graphics corporate headquarters. The fact is that there are two options for the final form of the Weapon Brown graphic novel. The optimal choice would be for a publisher to take it on, but my DefCon 5 Doomsday protocol is to self publish.
And so, I must make money to sock away for that eventuality. To that end, I have been reading stories to little kids all this week and chasing them around a playground pretending to be a lava monster.
I know! It sickens me too! But unlike Chuck, I can’t pay people in batteries. The good news is that I will soon be in pretty good fiscal shape and able to take a month or two off to only work on the strip. Yes, I know I have promised that before, but it turns out that the recession is actually pretty good for society’s parasites, namely Goldman Sachs executives and cartoonists. The work is coming in pretty steady and I have to snatch it up while I can.
So have no fear, the strip is only going to get bigger and better in the coming months!

As soon as Chuck mentioned “agent X-9,” I knew that it had to be a comic reference, even though I’d never actually heard of it. A quick Googling confirmed it: “Secret Agent X-9.” You get those little refs in everywhere, don’t you?
