Weapon Brown 66
Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun trying to guess who it was that yanked Crokk, but it was only Chuck after all. Hope no one is disappointed. Anyway, wait until you see who is behind the camera lens! Hee hee… I am the modern master of suspense.

I guess Lucy pulled that football away one too many times.

I want to see Crokk die a slow, agaonzing death. Something akin to going feet first into a wood chipper.
Or, being strapped to a metal chair and having it heated until all of the skin on your back is seared and charred. Then then hang the person by their knees over a vat of water. The water goes up to their shoulders. The only way they can avoid drowning is to bend at the middle, cracking the blackened flesh on their backs and enduring extreme pain. Eventually, they’ll get tired, or the pain will be too much, and they’ll drown. Eitehr way, you can place bets on how long they’ll last!
Oh, I’m sorry, did I go a bit off topic there?

uhh.. why aren’t Crok’s men taking Brown out? they have modern weapons and surely can aim well enough, considering Crok is so small. Like someone else said, I hope this doesn’t turn into a Rambo / Bollywood type of fight where the protagonist is invincible and the bad guys take him on one at a time

awww… I was thinking in a beast-like Woodstock bird with talon claws and wings of fury and stuff…

Damnit. Now I’ll have to buy the book to see what Lucy did.

Dammit, Jammit! I love you!
March 26th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
Um, don’t Crokk’s guys still all have their guns?
March 26th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
Ha, whoops, the A train already got there before me. And yeah, as the Rambo analogy guy, A, I have to hope that Jon and Co. (or whoever) take out Crokk’s guards and Chuck is able to throw Crokk to Garfield, rather than Chuck just being invincible and having infinite stamina and destroying everyone, which would taint this otherwise flawless masterpiece.

Remind me to stay away from flabajaba.

@ Jim: I’ll bet with the quickness of Chuck’s reflexes, as demonstrated by the “yoink” he just pulled on Crokk, le capitaine would make an excellent “human” shield against those pesky guns >;) But Chuck promises to save the best for last, so we’ll see…
March 28th, 2009 at 2:02 pm
@Chyll Will – I’m not buying it. Chuck has lost his arm, has been awake all day, been hit bit a concrete block, had his head in a monster, blown a car up, fought a ton of BC cannibals, run from the cats, and he still has enough in him to beat Crok’s men who are fully armed (with scopes). It’s not like Crok would make a very big human sheild, and Crok’s men could easily shoot Chuck’s legs, arms, or head off to slow him down and then take care of him.

Maybe they just don’t like him?
This is actually a very standard mook reaction, if their leader is captured they won’t act until ordered to act.
March 28th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
all crok needs to do is shout “shoot him” then
March 29th, 2009 at 12:21 am
@ A – Fair enough; I’d buy into the Jon and Cavalry theory, but I’ve come to believe that Chuck doesn’t bluff in these situations… maybe that arm isn’t “completely” lost?

@jammit: Don’t get the book to see what Dr. “Lucy” Van Buren does. Get it to see what happens to her…

@chyll will
I’m not too worried, as Jason’s storyline so far has been awesome. I was just surprised that it was Chuck who grabbed, and Crok’s men aren’t taking Chuck down (if only for their own sake and preservation) . I’m thinking the storyline will pick up again and been checking back every day hoping for an extra update before monday.

@Chyll – as your proxy proxies mine as well
